Financial Education from the FRB
Lucy Griffin, Editor Compliance Action
The Federal Reserve System, through its Banks and also at the Board of Governors, has developed and offered materials for consumer financial education. Now, with some impetus from the FACT Act, the FRB has consolidated several sources into a single web site.
The new site, www.FederalReserveEducation.org, has four main resource areas. First, there is information on the Federal Reserve System together with economic information prepared by the FRB. Closely related to this is Fed 101, an interactive site about the Federal Reserve System itself. Next comes the Personal Financial Education site, containing information about financial products and credit information. Finally, there is a section on teacher resources loaded with free stuff for teachers.
