FDIC Appoints Pros to Senior Executive Positions
The acting Director of FDIC's Division of Supervision and Consumer Protection announced three appointments to key executive posts in the division. Two are related to compliance. Lisa Arquette has been appointed Associate Director, Anti Money Laundering and Financial Crimes. Arquette spoke with both knowledge and understanding of the industry at ABA's 2005 Money Laundering Enforcement Conference. Promoted from her position as Chief of the AML Section, she has experience both in examination and enforcement, and also inter-agency work.
The other compliance-related appointment is Robert Mooney to the position of Associate Director, Compliance Policy and Examination Support. Mooney has extensive experience as a banker and as a regulator. His most notable claim to fame in the compliance world is as author of Side by Side, A Guide to Fair Lending.
