Enterprise Risk
Management is a favorite topic of banking regulators - and therefore bankers.
Examinations are "risk based." By conducting its own risk assessment, a bank has
the opportunity to put all of the information in front of its primary regulator
before a risk assessment is made without adequate knowledge of processes and
controls.
How does a community bank get started, how do you identify all
activities in all departments, assess the various risks, the likelihood of these
risks and the strength of controls that mitigate those risks? How can a bank
aggregate and present risk as its primary regulator views it? What are your next
steps after completing a bank-wide risk assessment?
This webinar guides
you through the process whether you are using a purchased tool, an in-house
spreadsheet, or database software. The concepts presented will help with any
type of risk assessment. The concepts and process can be used to assess new
product risk before implementation, formalization of risk management at
community banks, or assessing risk in any bank process including those with
required risk assessments such as BSA, OFAC, or CIP
A proactive
bank-wide risk assessment can be a useful tool to:
Evaluate adequacy of policies, procedures, and limits
Assess the effectiveness of internal controls
Identify related risks across the bank
Address identified gaps or weaknesses proactively before they are cited by
regulators
Who Should Attend?
This webinar is
valuable for compliance managers, new risk managers, auditors, and business line
managers responsible for assessing risk in their business
line.
