Presented by:
Mary Beth Guard and Jack Holzknecht

WHAT?
A new proposed rule under the FACT Act appears to be on the fast track with a short comment period. The Interagency (and FTC) proposed rule would implement section 312 of FACTA, which deals with l) the accuracy and integrity of information furnished to credit reporting agencies; and 2) circumstances under which a furnisher must reinvestigate disputes about the accuracy of information contained in a credit report based upon a direct request from a consumer.

In this one-hour special "quickie" webinar, Jack and Mary Beth provide an analysis of the proposal and what the new rules will mean to you.

WHY?
Section 312 of FACT requires entities who furnish information to consumer reporting agencies to establish reasonable policies and procedures for ensuring accuracy and integrity of the information and for handling direct disputes from consumers. This proposal contains the standards that must be followed in doing so. The proposal provides alternate methods for the regulators to implement section 312. By attending this webinar, you learn what the alternative are so you can start preparing while there's still time to weigh in and have a voice in the shaping of the final rule.
