Double Your Money when you Withdraw at this ATM
The Royal Bank of Scotland had a "manual error" at an ATM. This wasn't a marketing ploy but it attracted users waiting up to 3 hours in line to make a withdrawal. It seems the ATM dispensed double what was requested. Some users made their maximum withdrawal and got back in line for another chance.
The RBS said there was another ATM next to this one, but it didn't have the same problem and wasn't used by those in line. Go figure. The machine did run out of money. RBS said that they have a record of those making withdrawals.
WWYBD -- What would your bank do? Consider this a lesson learned or would you contact each of those customers who you suspect doubled their money and request it back? Talk back in the threads.
