To meet the deadline for CIP
Banks went on a little spending spree.
Yes, CIP filled bankers with dread
But at least they now know if an applicant is dead.
Financial Institutions were just blown away
By the OFAC list changing nearly every day.
And what about that NCCT list?
That was one many bankers had missed.
The risk was great for a flood CMP
-- and at 350 a pop, it’s far from free.
The 20 dollar bill got a new design
To protect banks and the public from criminal swine.
HMDA, Reg Z & Reg B all changed
Leaving loan officers feeling slightly deranged.
Tales were told of a Pica-eating Teller
Other than that, her performance was stellar.
There’s a big emphasis now on BSA,
But some banks demonstrated compliance the wrong way.
Assimilating a 314(a) search request
Was a task most bankers came to detest.
Formality of banking attire continued to erode
In banks adopting a casual code.
Dealing with SPeRS, UETA and ESIGN
Caused many e-bankers to squeal and whine.
Worries such as RESPA and Weblinking
Totally taxed compliance thinking.
