Dear Banker:
Last year, Bankers Online held its first-ever real world (as opposed to online) conference. We could tell from the first morning of the first day that it was going to be a remarkable event with incredible networking opportunities as we listened to the buzz at the breakfast table among attendees who felt connected to each other through the common bond of BankersOnline.com.
Fast-paced, hands-on, eye-opening, informative, interactive, dynamic, useful – the conference was all those things and more. This year, through BOL Conferences, Inc., we’re coming to San Francisco with a program we are so excited about that we can’t wait to share it with you.
We’ve kept all the elements that made last year’s conference a success (great speakers, timely topics), and we’ve added some new faces, all new topics, breakout sessions and networking power lunches. Plus, we have a separate one day foundational pre-conference workshop (which you may register for jointly with the conference or on a standalone basis) for those who need more emphasis on BSA/AML basics before moving on to the advanced topics covered in the conference. You will also have an opportunity to visit directly with purveyors of BSA/AML products and services in our exhibit hall area.
Those of you who were present last year will remember the “clickers” which we used in the audience response sessions. This year, they’ll be used to play “SAR, or No SAR” – the “game show” where you’re presented with fact situations and asked whether you believe a SAR filing is warranted. Our expert panel will then weigh in with their views and tell you what factors, if any, tipped the scale toward filing.
There are other fine BSA/AML conferences, but our Top Gun Conference is designed to be different. We won't feature presentations by regulators about high level policy considerations and future legislation. We won't delve heavily into off-shore entities. You won't hear behind-the-scenes views about how a particular provision got adopted. Instead, you'll discover fast-paced, interactive sessions designed specifically for those who are in the BSA trenches on a daily basis, fighting to comply with the regulatory requirements and keep money launderers out of their institutions.
