Flood Zone Re-mapping Notices

Question: When we receive notification that a borrower's property has been re-mapped and is now in a flood area, what notices/disclosures are we required to give them?
Answer: You are required to notify them of the requirement to purchase flood insurance. There is no exact wording, but I would highly recommend you use the three notices provided in the FEMA Mandatory Purchase of Flood Insurance Guidelines [see pages 7-8 through 7-10].
