Reg B – Listing Order of Applicants
David Dickinson, BOL Guru Guru Bio
Question: Does Reg B make any specification as to the order of the applicants on the loan? Do the applicant and co-applicant have to be listed in the same order on the loan?

Answer: No, but I caution you from listing them any differently than how they are listed on the application. When I was an examiner, we often looked more closely at loans (for fair lending reasons) where the female was the "applicant" and the male was the co-applicant, yet on the note, he was listed first. A sign of sexual discrimination?
