Reg on Charging NSF Fee/Continuous Overdraft Fee
Answer by Ken Golliher, BOL Guru
Guru Bio

Question:   Is there anything in regulation that prohibits the charging of an NSF fee or continuous overdraft fee if the overdraft was caused by a bank fee (ie monthly service charge)?

Answer:   No. Check the law of your state. Laws and regulations set minimum standards for fairness. It's okay if banks choose to exceed those standards on occasion.
