Ooops. Forgot the RESPA docs. Is there a cure for non-disclosure?
Answer by Richard Insley, BOL Guru

Question: A home improvement loan was closed without giving the RESPA docs. Is there a 'cure'? Can we send the GFE, etc., after the fact?

Answer: Unlike TIL, RESPA has no "cure" provision--but also no liability for most (all?) disclosure errors & omissions. The GFE and booklet cease to be useful when the consumer is committed to a particular deal and incurred the closing costs; however, you would probably want to send a copy of the HUD-1 or 1A if there's any question that a customer received one at settlement.
