CIP verification of purchased retail contracts
Answer by Andy Zavoina, BOL Guru
BIO AND CONTACT INFO

Question: How should our CIP handle verification on retail contracts purchased from local retailers?

Answer: As a purchased asset CIP will not apply. You are free to do more and verify the data or ensure the original creditor did what you would want done. But if it is not your credit originally, it is exempt.
