eBanking Idea: Check with your eBanking software vendor to see how much flexibility you have with the login screen. Can you add additional text to the screen? If not, can it be set up to launch a pop-up box with information? If you can gain the ability to add some text, it's a perfect spot to educate customers about how to protect themselves against fraud. (If you can't get access to add it on the log-in screen or in a pop-up box, put it on your main page or whatever the next most visited page within your site might be.)
Write up 12 tips for business customers and 12 tips for non-business customers. Deploy one per month for the next year. Make your customers soldiers with you in the war against fraud!
Here's an example that would work for either business or non-business customers:
Complete your checks carefully! Make sure the payee line is completely filled and there are no extra spaces around the amount areas. When you leave spaces, you make it possible for a con artist to add himself as an alternative payee or to alter the amount of your check to a higher amount. Don't make room for this type of crime!
