With the ever-increasing number of compliance changes we have to deal with, and the number of employees within the bank with whom I have to interact to enact these changes, I'm finding project management to be an increasingly difficult task. Does anyone have any project management hints they use via Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. they can recommend?

If you have access to back issues of ABA Bank Compliance magazine, there are two articles on project management written for the compliance officer. They appear in the Sept/Oct 2005 issue, and the Jan/Feb 2004 issue.

MS Project may be more than you need, but check it out anyway.
