I guess I'm reliving my hippie days.

I just saw Leon Russell in concert last month.

Was he good? He's been here twice over the past couple of years but I haven't been able to make it. He plays at casino venues when he comes this way. I gotta go if he comes again!

He was great! Excellent backing band, played straight through for 90 minutes or so. A set list that covers his amazing timeline as a member of the Wrecking Crew, band member, band leader and solo artist. On the last number, when the applause died down, he turned to the audience and said "This is where we'd normally walk off-stage, and suddenly decide to come back and play a couple more songs. I ain't much for walkin' these days, so how about if we just play a couple more songs?"

I'm glad Elton John asked him to do that collaboration album. I think it put some life back into Leon.

Lately on Spotify, I've been listening to Imelda May, an Epica "Best of" collection and Apocalyptica's "Wagner Reloaded - Live in Leipzig"

Imelda May's "Johnny Got a Boom Boom" is an awesome song! Love her stuff! (And her hair style)
