In need of opinions, please. Scenario: customer is working in our area but lives out of state. Applies to our bank for an auto loan. Customer meets all of the underwriting criteria, but officer is concerned because customer plans to take the vehicle back home out of state. We are a small community bank and obviously don't want the expense of repossessing vehicles from a great distance should the need arise.

Any way of declining credit?

If you do not normally lend to persons outside your lending area you can use that, or you could possibly use temporary residence.
