If you are asking whether you have to "work" an error resolution claim on a closed consumer account, the answer is Yes, if it fits any of the seven types of errors in section 205.11(a).

You also have to comply with the provisional credit requirement if the claim meets the requirements for same, regardless of the fact the account is closed (you'll have to force it to reopen or find some other way to accommodate the customer).
