Is it permissible to waive PMI if there are no additional policy exceptions and it is a stong credit? The reason for the increase of LTV was due to the appraisal and lack of comparables.

There is no regulatory requirement to require PMI, however if you waive it you will have a LTV exception that will need monitoring and reported.
