During a recent audit of one of our branches we uncovered some long-forgotten abandoned property from a safe deposit box that was drilled several years ago. Any wrinkles that I should know about other than to turn it over to the state through normal channels?

None at all, what you should do is include it in this years escheatment process...if you have addresses, etc. send out a letter...wait the 60 days and get rid of it. It's amazing how this stuff can hide for so long.
