No. Massachusetts eliminated that requirement with the passage of Chapter 279 of the Acts of 2006. It amended Section 27 of Chapter 167D. Banks are now required to provide up to 25 free front-and-back copies of checks per year upon customer request.
Other than that, a bank can fully-truncate checks account statements, providing only the posting information and no actual or image checks.
There is some doubt whether the Commonwealth can enforce section 27 with respect to federally-chartered institutions (even though it purports to include them within its scope).
