I have another flood question...
I have a property that has 2 buildings..one is the home the other is a "boat garage". The "boat garage" is in a flood zone and contributes $20,000 to the total value of the property. The home itself is not in a flood zone. We are requiring flood insurance. My question is: can we require flood insurance for the value of the "boat garage" only or do I need insurance to cover my entire loan?

Thanks!

If the boat garage and is an insurable structure, then the minimum flood insurance requirement would be the lesser of the value of the building, the loan amount, or the maximum amount of insurance available.
