I just received a letter from a law firm out of New York requesting that we send them our modified LAR electronically. Sounds like a potential scam to me! Anyone else receive something like this?

Not sure what kind of scam it would be. They wouldn't have any of the account numbers or names, only GMI and census information.

You are under no obligation to provide it to them electronically. But you must provide them a hard copy and you have 30 days to do so. You may also impose a reasonable cost for reproducing and providing them the data.
