Hello, I am really seeking some general information here. Currently our bank opens deposit accounts both walk in and via the mail. We do have a web site where a potential new customer can download our Signature Card / New Account Application, but they cannot actually open the account on-line. That app must be mailed or brought in to us, for us to complete our application process. We are entertaining (that's not the right word!) the idea of possibly actually allowing customers to actually open their accounts on line. Does anyone have any experience with this? Can you refer me to a website or any discussion topics on this? I just want some ideas as to how it actually works. Thanks in advance.

Wendy

Basically, you would need to comply with e-sign. Your disclosures would all need to be in place prior to getting to the actual opening info.

The biggest challenge that I can can think of (and why we still require actual contact) is your CIP.
