With RESPA passing and disclosure examples out, is there any discussion by WA State to remove the required WA State Disclosure Summary form (WA HB2770)?

The GFE and HUD-1 or 1a will cover all the information already required to be provided on the WA State disclosure summary form and will only cause additional, duplicate work for Banks and duplicate disclosures for borrowers potentially causing greater confusion.

I found out that although the RESPA revisions will mimic the information required under HB2770, WA DFI is unable to pull the disclosure requirement and WA State Banks will be required to provide both the summary disclosure statement and all RESPA required disclosures.

So much for simplifying the process for consumers and Banks

I figured that would be the case.
