Our Trust Department is interested in taking requests to purchase securities (stocks, etc.) over the phone and recording the call as evidence of the order. Pennsylvania law (18 PA Cons. Stat. 5702) requires that BOTH parties must be notified that they are being recorded. Can anyone direct me to specific language that must be used in this instance or suggest what phrases your bank might be using? Thanks in advance.

I'm not in PA, but most businesses who record get around this by saying "This call may be monitored for quality assurance." It lets both parties know the line is being recorded. If you need specific language, just call any 1800 number and copy down what they actually say.
