Hello All,

Not sure if this is the correct place to post this but i figured it was most suitable.

Some of our new computers are not equiped with CD readers only USB ports. The issue i am having is that we do recieve alot of training information in CD format. I would like to purchase a CD reader and that does only that. Everything i have found is also a burner. for security reasons we obviously dont want the capability of burning information onto a CD. Does anyone know where i can find CD reader?? Thanks for your help.

Try newegg.com - they may have what you're looking for.

Pulling people out of the ditc...
if you have a USB port then employees can also copy info to a smart/jump drive, so I think your risk concern about burning to a CD is not worth worrying about. If training info is coming in via CD, place the CD on the HR department managers PC and have them download and provide to employees
