Please Keep My Family In Your Thoughts & Prayers

My daughter-in-law is pregnant for her first child...a boy...She is 29 weeks and is having complications....For the most part, they expected to take the baby sometimes today or tomorrow....Then yesterday afternoon things looked better. This morning it appears that complications are arising again...It is a struggle by the hour. He is approximately 2 pounds.....and about 9 to 10 inches long..
If you have a moment, please just say a little prayer that things go as they should.

This hits very close to home for me, as I am expecting my 3rd child at age 40. I am scared to death that everything will turn out OK.....and luckily, so far everything is......Thank God for that.
I am so sorry you and your family are going through this. I will pray that everything will work out for this little "miracle" baby....and that he will be able to grow in his mommy's tummy for a little while longer.

BQ - my mom had my younger brother when she was 40 and my MIL had my husband when she was 40. No problems with either one. In today's standards, 40 isn't old any more.

Thanks to all of you praying for little Johnathon....He is doing good. They've taken him off the vent and he has been breathing on his own since Saturday morning. He has ten fingers and ten toes. His heart is strong...and it appears that all of his vitals are working as they should be for his stage of development.......
He is of course VERY TINY....but dynamite comes in small packages.... He is a new baby born on a new year and hopefully, will become the symbol of new beginnings for my family....
Thanks again everyone and please don't forget about him. He still has a long road ahead....

Just an update on our little wonder......He is now a bouncing 1 lb 13 ozs...and of course, we are no different from any other grandparents...we are just so proud of him.
He is so-o-o-o-o little and seems so-o-o-o-o strong....He did what most infants do...lost weight...a few ounces and then he gained a few and now weighs more than his birth weight....He is still breathing on his own, which they said is remarkable..They've tried feeding him twice, but ended up having to put a tube into his little tummy to pump it out....Today the nurses told me that they would try again...They said that he is premature on the outside, but to remember that the inside is just as premature....They will also give him blood....While this startled me, she said not to worry.....it is because they've taken so much from him with all of the blood work. She also said that he was doing really well...if he could master the feeding thing...he'd be really great....
We are so amazed, so thankful and forever greatful for all of the prayers...Please continue to remember him......
