Has anyone seen an FIL or federal register notice on the requirement to provide a notice to tenants in foreclosure situations that obama signed on 5/20/09. I was wondering when this is mandatory?

I didn't read the whole bill yet, but I did pick this out:

SEC. 1503. EFFECTIVE DATE.
Except as specifically provided otherwise in this division, this
division and the amendments made by this division shall take
effect on, and shall apply beginning on—
(1) the expiration of the 18-month period beginning on
the date of the enactment of this division, or
(2) the expiration of the 3-month period beginning upon
publication by the Secretary of Housing and Urban Development
of final regulations pursuant to section 1504,
whichever occurs first.

SEC. 1504. REGULATIONS.
(a) IN GENERAL.—Not later than 12 months after the date
of the enactment of this division, the Secretary of Housing and
Urban Development shall promulgate regulations governing the
operation

If not before, it has been effective since June 24, 2009, when it was in the Federal Register.

However, the FR stated "These
protections are self-executing, and
became effective May 20, 2009."

My question is "does anyone have a sample 90 day notice? I did not find it in the FR or any supplemetal documents, the bill, etc.

You guys must have been reading my mind - I was ready to post to see how many people were ready to comply. Supposedly, it was effective immediately on 5-20, as well as the Helping Families Save Their Home Act 2009 notice requirement when a mtg loan is sold.
