Prayers for friend

On Friday, a good friend of ours was diagnosed with colon cancer. The first test (that confirmed the cancer) shows multiple masses. He has an appt for a CT scan Friday to determine if the cancer has spread and then an appt with a surgeon on Monday. He is one of the most joyful, nutty, and compassionate people I know and none of us are ready to give up. We know that God can heal him perfectly, but if He chooses not to, we desire prayers for wisdom in all decisions and guidance for the doctors. His sweet wife is one of the people who encouraged me to go back to school and finish my degree....even when it got hard. Please pray for them and for their family. Thank you in advance!

Thank you all! Lynn, his wife, said that you don't know how strong you are until the only choice is to be strong. Thank the Lord we don't have to rest in our own strength.

We got some good news from the oncologist yesterday. The cancer has not metastisized and is contained within the colon. The doctor won't say if it is Stage I, II, or III, but he said it is NOT Stage IV! Biopsies done at the time of surgery will reveal the stage of advancement and whether or not chemo will be needed. We are greatly encouraged by this report since earlier indications seemed to be preparing him for treatment at Stage IV. Thanks for your prayers and please continue them.

That is wonderful news!!
My best friend has colon cancer that has spread to her lungs and there are two small spots on her liver. We just pray for the best with every scan. The past two have shown no growth. Please pray for her. She was only 34 when she was diagnosed.
