Our bank is currently opening savings accounts for customers who currently have an existing savings account with us. We are currently only getting one signature from joint account holders if the previous accounts are titled the same. Shouldn't we get signatures from all account holders regardless of prior relationships?

This is dependant upon your original account agreement and terms & conditions. Many financial institutions utilize a "master signature card" which enables them to do just what you are describing. Many times additional accounts can be opened with little more than authorization by one binding party, however the terms that were agreed to originally would still bind both individuals.

Additional terminology from one such master agreement reads: "The owner(s) may use this Master Signature card to open one or more identically owned account(s) on the date of this card and one or more identicall owned account(s) in the future."

Would the last part "The owner(s) may use this Master Signature card to open one or more identically owned account(s) on the date of this card and one or more identically owned account(s) in the future."have to be on the signature card itself or is it within the disclosure?
