Someone must haved watched last night.

It was a bit too gory and gruesome for me, I could have done without some of the head splitting and of the stomach and removal of the contents. You could almost smell what that would have smelled like....

I wonder if contact will ever be made with the man and son that initially saved him in his home town....

I hope so. Let's see how they do getting to Ft Benning, though they may take the whole season to get there.

BTW I watched the whole 1st season last weekend, because I had heard so many good things about it.

It was gory and gruesome, but not *too* gory and gruesome for me. I love twisted zombie violence. laugh

Love this show! I do hope they reconnect with the father and son from the first season. I am curious about what happened with those characters. I also want to know if the dad ever got the guts to shoot his zombie wife in the head. grin I told my hubby that he better shoot me if I'm a disgusting zombie wandering around in my ugly night gown and bad bed hair like that lady was. LOL

I thought the goriness was about right.

I still wonder what happened to Merle. And what did the doctor who opted out whisper to Rick at the end of season 1? I thought the father did shoot his zombie wife but I would have to re watch season 1 to be sure.

Season 1 is now available on Netflix™. I watched a few episodes last night and am now hooked. I did not watch the season premier for season 2 yet, don't want to get out of sequence.

I was shocked at the gore they actually show. Doesn't bother me, but I would never watch it with my kids around.

BTW, the father did not shoot his zombie wife in the first episode of season 1 last year.

There are only 6 episodes in season 1 so you should be able to catch up soon. So we know how many episodes will be in season 2?

@ 90 minutes each, or will they cut them back to 60 minutes?

Great show! I have possible hunch about Merle...

Click to reveal..
If you've read the graphic novel, I think Merle's going to be the Governor.

I love the differences between the graphic novel and the show. Some things are the same, but there have been new characters added that weren't in the novel, and some of the characters in the novel are still living in the show when they should've died long ago...Can't wait to see the the next episode!!!

I've been thinking about reading the graphic novel. Looks like I need to do so.

I've only read the Compendium Vol. 1 (I think it's the first 45 issues of the comic) - but it's awesome! The best thing about it is that the tv show is mostly faithful to the novel, but doesn't follow it exactly. A few examples:

The tank scene in season 1 was not in the novel
Merle and Darryl are not in the novel (at least not in the vol. 1 compendium), the whole CDC episode was not in Compendium 1, but there may be something like it in later issues...

Just watched the final episode of last season yesterday. I really enjoy the series, but the shot at the end of the CDC explosion - some of the worst computer generated graphics ever! Looked like my 9 year old could have put that together on my laptop.

Hoping to catch a replay of the 1st episode of this season tonight. (yeah, I don't have a DVR...)

Has anyone watched the talk show "Talking Dead", which follows the new episodes on Sunday night?

I thought I heard there was going to be a lot of action next Sunday.... eek

-which makes sense with the two guys trapped in the high school.

I don't have cable to I'm catching the episodes online. You know it's a good show when your jaw is in your lap from shock. LOL

Did the two guys have a plan to get out once they got the medical supplies? Other than run really fast that is. I thought the heavy guys was going to have a stroke with all that running.

Has this show joined the walking dead?

Have they spent too much time on interpersonal relationships rather than fighting walkers and determining whether the human race will go on?

Have they lost viewership? The show that comes after may not be enough to hold the audience.

Hubby and I were just talking about this - it's gotten WAY too slow this season. I don't know if it has anything to do with them firing the head guy from last year or what, but it's too slow, too "preachy" and there's too much talking going on. I want more action! LOL

The search for Sophia is dragging on and on. And everyone getting seriously injured (cut, shot, fall down ravine and pierced with arrow and shot) has been done to death. I agree we need some action.

On another note, I totally knew that barn was filled with zombies.

Are the walkers in the barn his relatives?

He doesn't come across as the mad scientist kind of guy looking for a cure.

That barn is not far enough away from the main house that they didn't discover this day one, it would seem.

No wonder he wants the group to move on.

I would imagine the walkers in the barn used to be people they knew and couldn't bring themselves to put them down. It is time for Rick and his group to move on.

Did anyone watch last night's episode? I just knew Sophia was going to be the last one out of the barn.
