I want to try some of those slice/hook correction golf balls.

I have not used them but heard that the take away distance from good shots.(if any of us have good shots)

I would like to try some "generally crappy golfing" correction golf clubs

So I went to the grocery store this weekend and I have one of those store discount card thingy that is on my keychain.

I just got a new one the other day and apparently this store moved to an even smaller version.

So I'm at the checkout, hand the cashier my keys, she scans the card then says "I've never seen one that small".

Word to the wise, that's not a nice thing to say to a dude.

i am sure if you put your mind to it you can play crappy golf with whatever clubs you choose to use.

I did see that, however, taking 10-20 yards off a swing seems like a fine trade-off to me if it goes straight... Some golfers take something off their swing to get more control so they hit straighter, netting a better result even though the ball does not travel as far.

If I got a 300 yard hole, I'd rather be 90 yards away on the fairway then 70 yards away sitting in the rough near a tree.

Also, if you think about it, if the ball slices, it will not go further than the 20 yard less drive that when straight.

For my game, or lack there-of :), I think I'd be happy with the trade-off.

I spend more time planning what to pack in my bag to drink than on anything else! But, I've only started last summer and made it out a total of 5 times. I play with a goal of double par or less
