Jen, It's just 15 pounds of stored running energy! You'll peel it off in no time! Let the endorphins and seratonin kick in and keep up the hot yoga! Mostly because it wokrs and partially because Pup loves for you to say "Hot Yoga"!

Way to go, Matt and Cheekee on the weight loss!!! You guys rock! Keep up the great work. Way to go, Jen on getting back to running - hooray! Your body will catch up and level off, no worries. Hang in there! I, too, have been very hungry all the time. I'm feeding my body 1200 - 1400 calories per day now in 5 small meals. Just two months ago, I used to commonly consume anywhere from 2300 - 2800 calories per day, usually in two huge meals, so it's a dramatic improvement. I'm eating the right foods now, and I'm asking my body to do a whole heckuva lot more work for me now, working out every day with lots of weight training and lots of cardio. I'm keeping carbs fairly low and protein very high, so hopefully I am losing fat and gaining lean muscle mass, which will work harder for me burning calories... and trying to get into a good cycle. I weigh in tonight at my WW meeting, and I feel really good about this week. All of my work clothes are starting to feel very loose. I'm hoping the scale will show lower numbers, but even if not, I will celebrate the "non-scale" victory of working out 7 out of the last 7 days - yay.

Congrats to you all!!!!!!!!
Jen, I'm with you. Not that I haven't been running at all but my excercise has been cut in half and I am sporting 6 extra pounds.
If only my daughter would stop baking cookies. She found the worlds best cookie recipe (it;s so good because it takes sooooo much butter) and she won't stop making them!

You heard it here first, Mani will take some of your extra pounds off your hands and work them off for you!
Please form an orderly line, one at a time, no pushing!

She did not say how she was going to take the pounds. It could be painful.

Ok sheesh, 60 mins of cardio, 100 crunches and 20 chair dips....I guess I'll have to jump back on the push up wagon later today.

I have one of those too. She bakes all the time, I don't have much of a sweet tooth, so that's greatly aided me in resisting it!

It's nearly impossible to resist!!!!! Good for you Jen, I am going to have to try and get some of that willpower built up.....or just take one bite and throw the rest away! On the upside, the cute guy in the moving truck smiled at me real big.

Weighed in last night and lost 0.2 pounds this week. Sigh. I'm working so hard, I really wanted to see a number over 1 pound. Oh well, I'll keep plugging along.

Back to the gym for the first time in 8 weeks for me today. Still have the boot on from by broken ankle, but I was able to do some of the upperbody strength exercises. Felt pretty good. And, during my 8 weeks of inactivity, I only gained 1 pound. I'm pretty proud of that.

Onetwo, that's good eating control or great genes! Really focus on the strength training. By that I mean focus on the muscle as you use it. Think of it as "muscle contracting" more than "weight lifting".(also applies to powerbands, kettlebells, pushups, etc) You will build strength faster, get less chance of injury and burn more fat. Sounds a little odd, but it works.
BS, A scale is nothing but a measurement of mass in a given point in space. It never tells the whole story. If you showed a loss, you did great!!!

Weighed in last night and lost 3 pounds this week. Hooray! I had a really stressful week and still managed to get in my exercise on 4 days, not go off my stringent diet, except for half a Hershey's bar at the hospital waiting room, and still got to my WW meeting last night. I'm really pleased, and it's in large part due to the accountability and motivation found here in this thread. Thank you all!!!
