Mapping CRA and HMDA data

We are currently looking at different options for mapping our CRA and HMDA data to help in analysis and for fair lending reviews. Right now I am using the free trail of Microsoft's Mappoint software. I was wondering if anyone else currently uses Mappoint and if so what kind of data are you mapping? I know the software is not strictly for mapping this type of data, so some of the options are limted, but i wanted to get other opions to see if it is worth buying.
We also use CRA Relief and HMDA Relief from Questsoft which has the option to create export files for Mappoint. Are there others using Questsoft that also use Mappoint, and what are your opinions? Or do you use something different?
Any feedback is appreciated.

We use Microsoft Mappoint (the paid version). We export our data into excel from our core system's query program (not CRA Relief or HMDA Relief). Then we map addreses of accounts, branches, and census tract income data.
PM if you want to discuss more.

We use CRA Wiz from Wolters Kluwer for mapping HMDA and CRA data.

Just an FYI... the newest version of Mappoint coming out in the fall of 2012 will NOT include the new 2010 census tracts.

Can I import the census tract income info from the FFIEC download? I like to create "heat maps" of the low and mod areas for the management.

Thanks Kathleen! That is something I have been unable to accomplish in the free trial of Google Earth Pro. Can you explain what you mean by the combined state/county/tract number? Do you mean they all go in one cell together, versus in columns next to one another?

so you add leading zeros to the county and tract...yes, you should definitely work up a seminar/webinar KB!

Yes, and it is easy to accomplish. Perhaps I will do a webinar. :-)
State 01 County 01 Tract 24.02 would be
01001002402 I'd buy that! CRA training is difficult to come by. Thank goodness for BOL!

Thanks for the ideas. I have been less than impressed with Mappoint. It is good to know that they won't have the updated census info in the next addition, before I bought it. Mapitude looks like it would work a lot better anyway. Does anyone know if they offer a free trial? I don't see it on their website, and there is no way I can justify the price to managment right now.
