My 20 year old cousin has an interview with Wells Fargo for a teller position on Monday. Apparently it's a group interview which I thought was weird.

Anyway, for anyone who does or has worked for Wells, please send me anything that could be helpful for my cousin to know before her interview.

I'm coaching her on what to wear and told her to visit their website and well practice questions, but we're looking for some insider advice wink

Thanks!

A CU, Where Regs Don't Apply
I have no practical advice except not to go. We have a few people here that are former WF staff and they have horror stories.

Tell her to find a nice credit union to apply for laugh

judging from the actions of some tellers, I am shocked that you are actually interviewed for the position still

I don't think she's getting married.... she may have to buy a pair that say "applicant".

But that would either be hard to read or require some size...

If I was running a group interview (strange) I would look for pleasant facial expressions, smiles and eye contact as well as overall appearance.

LOL! I hate seeing them come in wearing flip flops during a job interview at a Bank. The Old Navy ones? Seriously?!

No texting during the interview. No taking phone calls either.

Give her a bunch of technical questions to ask them about BSA and Regs E and CC, etc. "What steps is WF taking now to insure compliance with Reg E Subpart B by February 7?" That will throw them.

I would suggest something low cut but speaking from personal experience that may backfire. I remember interviewing someone who wore something low cut and I can't remember if I made eye contact.

I would stay away from the whole Sharon Stone, no undies and the swiveling chair routine.

Wells is known for having no problem in firing staff that cannot attain unrealistic sales and referral goals. So she should let them know she is a natural at talking to people and understanding what their goals and needs are.
