Yes, I think last January it was at the Crowne Plaza. It was a nice place.

I am doing jeans :-) and a pullover jacket most likely. It is always cold in those rooms. I do love the new location, easier to get to either way, and the food is MUCH better for lunch!

It was soooooooooooooo cold last time---I didn't think I would ever warm up. I haven't been to the new location yet, but looking forward to it--closer to Milwaukee.

I have been to the new location, and it is much nicer, but those big rooms are always a little cooler and I am generally always cold. Of course, I am from Superior WI originally so maybe it is just still from 20 years ago living there....

I'm happy to read that I'm not the only one who was disappointed in the seminar. It being my first, I was hoping for something more interactive like the WBA RE Compliance School. Attended that for 2 days in October and found it very educational and John Topczewski from Johnson Bank is a great presenter. There must have been about 95 more people who found it boring since only 4-5 asked questions that the presenter couldn't answer.

I was hoping someone would start a BOL chant or form a meet & greet in the lobby. I didn't know anyone to approach but I was pretty obvious wearing a black shirt that had "WHEDA" embroidered in orange over the pocket. The nice people I sat with at lunch said they read the threads but aren't posters.

I did the RE one in 2010 - in 2011 I did do the Deposit Compliance School with WBA, and in May I am going to attend the 'Compliance Officer School' with WBA. The CBW seminars and the WBA schools are very different, but I find both helpful for different reasons.

Was anyone surprised by the fairly low attendance at this week's forum? I couldn't believe the number of empty chairs!! And I walked in a minute before it started.......LOL

Apparently, not many people worried about the CTR/SAR changes! Or Reg Z for that matter!

I know i was surprised to see so many books still waiting to be picked up at our first break.

I was sitting closer to the front this time (eyes acting older than they are)--didn't see you this time.

If you're facing Bill, I was sitting on the end in the front row in the far right section.

I got there WAY too early and was sitting in the VERY back row. We were all talking about all the empty chairs, and the extra books as well. First I thought maybe they put extra rows in since they moved the food outside, but not certain.

LOL.....probably why I couldn't see you when we were sitting.

I thought I walked past you during one of the breaks though......I was probably making a bee-line for the ladies' room. wink

Anyone attending later this month in Madison? I will be there with bells on!! Sadly, Rick won't be there, so we will miss his laughter....

I was just at the Crowne last Thursday for the BSA/AML Workshop. It was freezing when we first got there, but I think there were enough complaints that it improved immensely within an hour. I wore my wool coat for the morning and I was comfortable without it in the afternoon. smile

For United Way we are having a "Ten for Tennies" Day on that Wednesday--pay $10 and get to wear jeans and tennis shoes--we rarely get to wear jeans so it's a big treat.

So I'm in for the jeans too.
