This is one of those things I know I should know, but it's Friday & I just cannot think! The Right to Receive a Copy of the Appraisal is supposed to be given out prior to when the notice of action taken is required. I am looking at a file that has an application date, then two weeks later a loan commitment date & then two weeks after that the closing date. My Right to Receive a copy of the Appraisal is dated at closing. Shouldn't it have been dated prior to then? Say at the time of commitment?

Yes. You would have provided the customer with notice of action taken when you told him his loan was approved. That's the latest possible date for the appraisal disclosure.
