Here's the situation - I am writing up a SAR for elderly financial exploitation where an elderly customer was coerced into applying for a loan. In researching we found three checks cashed at this bank payable to the coercer and a loan on the customers credit bureau for a truck the coercer is driving. We feel all three incidents are involved however, the loan for the truck is not at this institution. Would we include in the truck loan at the other institution in amount involved in this report?

Thanks in advance for your response.

A CU, Where Regs Don't Apply
I wouldn't consider that to be suspicious activity that your institution was a party to and wouldn't include it myself. I might mention it in the narrative though.

Thanks Matt B. That was my feeling too. It wouldn't be a SAR filing if I wasn't second guessing myself.
