We have a loan in SC where the customer lives in PA and the land securing our loan is located in SC. Does this need to be closed be closed with an attorney or since it is a refinance with no new money can it be closed outside of an attorney office?

Do any documents associated with the refi need to be filed at the county? If so, our attorney has advised that an attorney is needed.

Agree - SC attorneys drafted the regulation that requires attorneys to file. If not, the bank would be consiodered practicing law without a license.
