Good afternoon.
I am writing to find out if any of you have "restrictions" on when someone can change their address after opening a new account.
At account opening, we require some proof of address if the address on their identification is not their current address (pay stub, utility bill, etc.).
We have a few people who say "I don't have one of those," (for various reasons they provide). Many times the address on the identification is their parents' address & although they don't live there anymore, they are willing to open the account using the address because they can still get their mail from their parents at any time.
Do you allow the customer to change their address a day or two after their account was opened, if they don't have proof of the new address?
Thanks in advance for your time.
