Does anyone know when FinCEN created the CTR Notice to Customers? I'm looking to provide my AML Officer a date of issuance or date that it was most recently updated.

Any help is appreciated.

It's nowhere on the web-site or the document, unfortunately, but the link I referenced is dated 20090224 (or 2/24/2009). I'll see if the FinCEN website has any with a date.

Not sure about FinCEN, but our brochure is dated 4-1-09. This may not be what you are looking for.

The only other reference to this documents is footnote #13 on page 12 of the May 2010 SAR Activity Rerport.

Our document has a saved date of February 2009 so that is when we must have seen it for the first time.

Thanks to everyone for your responses. We did make a call to FinCEN and they confirmed that it was issued in 2009 (no month was provided). They did not indicate that the document has ever been updated.

It was published in February, 2009 while Top Gun was being presented in Las Vegas. We made copies and passed them out to the audience.

Its geneology isn't really relevant to its use.
