Since I am located in Texas, I wonder what preparation, training etc. that I should be concentrating on due to the EBOLA cases that have been identified in Dallas. Other than Pandemic testing, what are other banks doing in response to Ebola being so close to home? I appreciate your thoughts. Thank you.

It is time for banks to start reviewing their procedures. This would have the ability for entire departments and/or locations being shut down for an extended period of time. I am about to have a discussion about this with our contingency plan officer.

I have been looking for the World Health Organization's classification of pandemic phases and haven't been able to find it. Does anyone know if this is still used by the WHO?

We were in the midst of an IT audit, and discussed BCP/etc.

We are going to discuss/add the possibility of key individuals having remote access in case of extended quarantines or recovery time of homes/under aged minors/etc. Obviously, a cash handling teller (or primary responsiblilty is the main cash vault)that is under quarantine or during recovery, won't be able to "remote" in. Anyway, it's been a great discussion. We don't currently have "remote in" capabilities or assignments.

Pulling people out of the ditc...
something to consider...if you have employees out ill with something like this and they are flagged as FMLA, they are forbidden by FMLA laws from doing any work, even if it is remote.
