So, this is probably a stupid question, but I haven't come across this before and I couldn't find anything that answers this question. A SAR with 2 suspects, separate accounts (not joint owners), when you review for a follow up SAR, if only 1 account/1 suspect has had activity, do you just list the 1 suspect and reference something in the narrative that the other previous SAR suspect didn't have any activity?

That's how I would approach the new filing.

I think that sounds about right. The other person is now no longer a suspect with the continuing activity. But I would definitely make sure to reference the other account and how it had been monitored and had no new activity.

We we renew a SAR using our software (BAM) all original suspects are automatically carried forward to the new SAR and we have always left them in. The narrative would be where you could give the details about who was involved with the new suspicious activity.
