We were just informed that effective immediately, our cardholders are able to receive MasterCard MoneySend payments, which are defined as P2P as well as "disbursements from local, state or federal governments; or disbursements from merchants or businesses."

Apparently we have already been registered by our sponsor, and we are advised that "funds must be made available to the cardholder within 30 minutes of receipt."

I have read Chapter 6 of the MasterCard Transaction Processing Rules which confused me even more.

Has anyone got a clear picture of how this works? Must the cardholder preauthorize these transactions with the Issuing bank? What differences will we see between the P2P transactions and other transactions other than the MasterCard transaction type MCC6532 and MCC 6533?

I just love these surprises.
