No where in the SAFE Act do I read about providing the financial institutions NMLS ID# when corresponding with customers. Is this correct?

Not that I am aware of. I know it has to be certain loan documents (application, security instrument, note).

JWills, I am aware, like you, that applications and other loan documents require the number but wasn't sure, and couldn't find anything, on the the institutions number. Thanks!!

The inclusion of the institution's name and NMLS ID# on certain loan and loan-related documents is not part of the SAFE Act or Regulation G requirements. It's required under Regulation Z section 1026.36(g) for any consumer loan transaction secured by a dwelling.
