I searched and didn't find anything on this, so thought I'd post the question.

Where can I find guidance on the record retention requirements for ATM Activity/Transaction Reports, Card Agreements, and ATM Proprietary/Network reports? Would it be 2 years under Reg. E or is there more specific information elsewhere?

Thank you!

Check your network agreements - otherwise, I doubt that you are going to find anything specific.

Piggy backing a bit on this, I have been searching for retention period information on the following for Credit Cards:

- Cash Advance slips
- Notice to co-signer forms
- Secured credit card addendums

I have not had any luck in finding anything as far as retention periods, any ideas to share?

thanks

Man - you would think that someone would publish a list of every obscure piece a paper that a bank might possibility accumulate....... smile

Cash advance slip retention will be based on your merchant rules.

Notice to co-signer forms are part of the legal contract with the customer. Why would you destroy them before you destroyed the loan contract. Same with addendums to a loan contact.

VISA/MasterCard have a 13-month retention schedule for cash advance receipts.
