Further South than I wanna be.
Me too, but I wish the Cards would have won at least one.

It's hard to take seriously any curse that doesn't involve a goat . . . but it's time to take the Sox seriously!

Good job, Bosox! Cub fans everywhere salute you.

A. Bartlett Giamatti, former president of Yale University and former commissioner of baseball, once wrote, "Baseball breaks your heart; it's meant to break your heart." Being a Red Sox fan, he knew whereof he wrote.

Congratulations to the Carmine Hose and their legions of longsuffering fans! For once, autumn in New York has a bitter taste, and it will be the Yankees who endure a winter of discontent. With apologies to Browning, oh, to be in New England, now that joy is there!

WHOOPPEEEEEEEE!!!!!! I'm thrilled for the team and the fans (me included). Rumor has it that the parade they're planning in Boston will have a crowd of at least 5 million people. They're trying to decide which day. The "curse" has ended, no more references to 1918! It's a GREAT day in Red Sox nation!John, Renniks, where are you??????

Congratulations to the Red Sox. They certainly played better in the series, and deserve the title of "World Champs."

May this be remembered for, oh, say, 86 years.

86 Years of Waiting......... FREE
Total Lunar Eclipse......... FREE
Starting 0-3 and winning.....FREE

Finally breaking the curse.... PRICELESS

Little did we know that the Bambino curse simply required playing a few nights before Halloween under a full lunar eclipse to break...

Hey Cubs fans.... the next full lunar eclipse in October is in 2013, so get ready for your turn to break the curse! (Or you can petition the cubs to allow goats back in!)

When the Cubs break their curse - I hope it goes 7 games. I am very very happy for the Red Sox, but a 4 game sweep was strangely anti-climatic for me. Although the result was great, it was a fairly boring series. As much as I loved to see how dejected LaRussa was, his boys got cold at the wrong time and it resulted in a series that only had any drama at all because it was the Sox breaking their curse.

Dave, I think if you ask most Sox fans, we don't think it was boring, there was MAJOR excitement each night, especially last night, I think we all preferred to sweep the cards.

Emergency Rooms and Doctors all over Boston are glad it was a sweep. Each game brought more excitement and the possibility of winning and many more nights could have been fatal for some of the older folks who were alive the last time they BoSox won a championship....

Heck no Maria! I was safe and sound in my home and would love to attend the parade, just not sure if I want to fight 5-10 million others.

I just wish that my Dad had lived to see this. I am sure he was watching last night drinking a Shaefer(sp?) beer and puffing on a stogie and getting a kick out of his grandkids dancing in the living room at 11:40 PM.

The best is yet to come at the ring ceremony on opening day with the Yankees at Fenway park watching and feeling bad for not winning.

After last year, this Cub fan would love a four game sweep...but I'm not picky, I'd take it any way they could get it!! As long as we really don't have to wait until 2013
