The quick reply thing is cool - you can see more than one reply (at least if they are short enough) rather than just the one you're replying to. I like it!

Dawnie - that may be the funniest post I have seen on the threads - just perfect comedic timing (if there is such a thing in the written word)

Well, I spoke too soon. The numbers were back for a short while. The documentation with the upgrade (which we needed to do for other reasons) warned that displaying the number of unread messages could slow response time. Well, when we turned the feature on for you all, we hit our peak use period of the day, and everything ground to a halt. In computer jargon, we experienced excessive overhead. The long and short of it is that we've turned the feature back off (we did wipe out the moderator lists, though ) to let the boards come back to life, and we're looking for a solution to the overhead problem. Sorry, folks.

Numbers!!! Woo hoo!!! And I love the quick reply (though I'm such a goofball I didn't use it here)
Actually Dawnie, I believe it IS called CRAP...Critical Regulatory Assessment Protocol!

Ohh I love that acronym Crayon Girl (aka Maria) I always thought CRAP meant CRA program. Or my favorite, CRAC CRA committee (Which is what you need when you have one!)

The site has to index to keep those numbers current and that was slowing the boards a bit. We are looking for a way to get these back, but speed was a priority.

Well, it is unanimous. The one thing you want back most of all is zaibatsu. So, here I am...
BTW--I "spoke" with Mr. Clean this morning and he is doing well in the field of social work. He's helping the less fortunate and enjoying it.
...and now I am gone.
