If you had $500 - $1,000 to spend only on yourself for Christmas, how would you spend it?

(I'd give a higher amount, but then I'd just get outrageous Michael Dell kind of gifts (of course, he's Jewish, so I'm not sure he'd buy himself or anyone else anything for Christmas ). I want to see realistic ideas of something you'd splurge on for Christmas. Maybe the million dollar Christmas gift-for-self can be another thread.)

A scrapbook armoire to hold all my papers and stuff. I want one but they are ridiculously expensive.

I would buy myself a decent office chair! My chair at work is about as uncomfortable as it could be and I spend so much time on the computer writing that sometimes I get up and can hardly walk. They are so cheap here that I'm not allowed to order a new chair, so if I had extra money to spend I would buy one and pay for it myself!

I've always joked that I was going to get one of those yoga balls to sit on at the office. Then I changed it to be one of those balls with the handles that the kids play with - you know, you sit on them and bounce around? I can just see me bouncing down the hall for management meetings....

If I were to spend that much money on myself it would be on a Bose home theatre system (surround sound).

If someone gave me the $1000, I'd add another $500 to $600 and buy a MotorGuide® PTSv Series Trolling Motor for my boat.

Renniks, a well hidden screwdriver & wrench - a few bolts and screws mysteriously disappearing - might get you a new chair.

A BOSE radio for my desk. Something really good that gets ALL the channels without static.

Some cabinets above my scrapbook station so I could keep the little kiddies out of my supplies.

It doesn't really have a monetary value (unless you have a babysitter) but some quiet/free time TO scrapbook!

I just bought one for myself. I wasn't going to but I was at a Best Buy store and they were clearing them out and they had one Lifestyle 28 system (which is the one I wanted)in black for 35% off the lowest price I had seen, even direct from Bose. I had never seen the price that low and my wife (bless her heart) said: "You have to buy it"

Love the sound. The launch scene from Apollo 13 is just great, you can feel it in the carpeting.

Merry Christams to me!!!

A really nice camera. I love capturing memorable moments of my growing family, but am quite limited with a telephoto cheap camera. Then I can go to EGB and Kiwi's house to scrapbook in their well organized rooms!

First, thanks for the EGB! I actually pictured bouncing to a meeting on one of those balls...they are fun!

I did buy myself (or truthfully my horse) a Christmas present a bit in excess of the stated amount...well x's and a half probably... a new saddle! It arrived yesterday...Merry Christmas to ME!

I was actually the winning bidder in an auction for one of my favorite charities (a dog rescue) for a package that includes a 90 minute massage. I think I'll use it about the end of February.

At least it comes in before the Superbowl! Better start planning now, because everyone will want to come watch the game at your place now!

Where did you get that for $500 - $1,000? I want to order one too!

Also, I want MarkinFlorida to enjoy his imaginary motorcycle because the imaginary $500 - $1,000 certainly will make a nice downpayment, but it won't keep the repo man away and I don't have an imaginary $500 per month available to make his payments.

Where is our virtual Watercooler compliance officer Tiny? These guys' are out of compliance!
