Has anyone seen this? We are going for a work outing on Tuesday and I just wondered if it's good. I am going to watch Meet the Parents first so I have the background.

Yeah...it's a great movie. I'm a huge fan of Meet the Parents. I bought it because it's hilarious and I could relate to it (as I am sure most guys can). I'd say that the new one is just as funny if not funnier. Dennis Hoffman definitely showed me something in the movie. I was worried about him playing a comedic role because I can only picture him as Rain Man, but his interaction with DeNiro was great. I definitely recommend it and am going to buy it when it comes out on DVD.

Very good movie. I think it was even funnier than Meet the Parents. I am a huge DeNiro fan and to see him doing comedies after all the serious movies he has done is great. Throwing Hoffman and Streisand into the mix was brilliant.

I wish I could agree with you all but I really didn't find this movie to be as good as Meet the Parents. I was really disappointed.

I'll go see it eventually, but the junior high humor in the name puts me off a bit. To get past the censors they had to actually find a family with that name. Bless their hearts, they live in Canada.

Saw the movie Christmas day and loved it. I have to say that I never saw the first movie all the way through so I can't compare. We all laughed out loud!! Good to see Barbara again on the big screen!!!

One of my tellers just brought me the Meet the Parents DVD so I will have to be sure to watch that this weekend. I can't wait. Sounds like a scream.

Us girls try to get out and have fun together about every 2 months. It really helps us all to get along better. The guys usually don't go, but it is nice to see everyone out of the work setting with less stress. We only have 30 employees so it isn't that hard to do.

No offense, but I didn't find the Meet The Parents movie remotely funny or entertaining. And, to be completely frank, I think Ben Stiller is THE most overrated comedic actor today. Although, his wife is smokin' and I can't believe how much she looks like Marsha Brady, lolol.

Have you SEEN Dodgeball. It's hysterical. And yep, every time I see his wife I think of the Brady Bunch.

I saw it last weekend. My DH and I loved it. We were going to see Lemony Snicket (sp?) but decided to watch Meet the Fockers instead. The audience was laughing pretty loud. As for Ben Stiller...I know the movie will be corny-funny if his in it. BTW, one of the lines from the movie is the one I posted on the Favorite Movie lines thread. Jr highish but funny.

I agree with Ken about the name. I'm not a prude (really I'm not), but I do find that the name somewhat crude. It probably is a very funny movie....but not sure if I'll see it.

I have a good friend whose name is "Fockler" and another whose last name is "Fuchs" - pronounced "fox".

Well, I was a big Starsky and Hutch fan (back in the days) and Ben Stiller NAILED the role of Starsky in the movie version...to me that was the 2nd best part. Seeing Snoop Dog playing Huggy Bear was funny too...

Lolol, you read my mind. I was just telling my SO the other day how much I thought he was terrible. I guess I am less entertained by physical and "silly" humor than verbal humor. The only real physical and silly comedic actors I thought were funny were Chris Farley and John Belushi.

Oh Mark, you need to have a movie marathon weekend with T-girl and I. We could make a believer out of you. (except for the fact that at home, we are HORRIBLE movie-talkers. Constantly quoting or laughing....Drives my husband nuts) C'mon...Orange County was great. Saving Silverman was such a goofy laugh out loud movie. Questions 2 and 3: Jim Carey and Will Ferrel?

If you are going to mention Jack Black, then you MUST mention "High Fidelity". Great film, and he does a great job in it.
